About Emily:

I received my Master of Science degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Seattle Pacific University. Marriage and Family therapists are trained to counsel individuals, but also receive specialized training around working with couples and families. I worked at Seattle Pacific University for seven years in the counseling center as a therapist and supervisor. I also taught in the Marriage and Family Therapy program at SPU and worked in private practice as a couples counselor. After moving to Colorado I joined the faculty at Denver Family Institute to teach a course on couples counseling..

I specialize in working with young adults, couples, women's issues, depression and anxiety, family and relationship problems and general life transitions/difficulties. I also enjoy working with those on the autism spectrum around secondary concerns such as the stress/anxiety/difficulties living with autism can bring to daily life.

I am licensed in the state of Colorado as a Marriage and Family Therapist. This means that I have obtained the required post-graduate experience hours to meet state licensing requirements. I am also an American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy approved supervisor which allows me to supervise therapists currently working towards state licensure.

Please do not hesitate to call me if you have any further questions about me or my practice.
